| 1. | Lower motorcycle enough to raise steer stem fully into front frame neck. | |
| 2. | Mount upper fork bracket. See Chassis → STEERING HEAD. | |
| 3. | Install handlebar assembly. See Chassis → HANDLEBAR. | |
| 4. | Install two upper headlamp bracket screws. Tighten. See Electrical → HEADLAMP. Torque: 9–11 N·m (80–97 in-lbs) Screw, headlamp bracket | |
| 5. | Adjust steering head bearings. See Maintenance → ADJUST AND LUBRICATE STEERING HEAD BEARINGS. | |
| 6. | Install fairing. See Chassis → FAIRING. | |
| 7. | Activate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT. | |
| 8. | Install top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER. | |
| 9. | Remove motorcycle from lift. |
