| 3. | Detach front brake master cylinder assembly from handlebar. See Chassis → FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. Secure master cylinder assembly to front fork with bungee cords. | |
| 4. | Detach left hand control module from handlebar. See Electrical → LEFT HAND CONTROL MODULE (LHCM). | |
| 5. | Detach right hand control module from handlebar. See Electrical → RIGHT HAND CONTROL MODULE (RHCM). NOTE Note handlebar alignment mark. | |
| 6. | Remove handlebar. a. See Chassis → HANDLEBAR → Install → Handlebar Assembly (typical). Remove mirror bar ends (7). b. Remove throttle grip (6) and LH hand grip (1). See Chassis → HAND GRIPS. c. Remove screws (4). d. Remove riser cap/instrument module (3). e. Remove handlebar (5). | |
| 7. | Remove tall risers if equipped. a. Remove screws (4). b. Remove risers (2) while guiding cables (1,3). |
