1.	Remove top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER.
2.	Remove rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
3.	Deactivate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
4.	Remove fairing and bracket. See Chassis → FAIRING.
5.	Remove headlamp. See Electrical → HEADLAMP.
6.	Detach front brake master cylinder from handlebar. See Chassis → FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER.
7.	Move handlebar to front of forks. See Chassis → HANDLEBAR. a. Remove handlebar top clamp. b. Remove anchored cable strap. c. Disconnect fork lock connector. d. Disconnect both front turn signal lamps.
8.	NOTE Do not raise motorcycle enough to lift front tire. Support motorcycle to remove pressure on front suspension. See Maintenance → GENERAL.
9.	Remove upper fork bracket. See Chassis → STEERING HEAD.
